Ils veulent détruire une partie de la rue principale pour faire place à une tour qui fera office de nouveaux bureaux pour la société Hydro-Québec.
Le maire à donner le terrain, un site historique national, a un « chum » pour des bouchers de pain.
Des commerces centenaires ont été expropriés.
Le Ministère de la Culture fait l’autruche.
Le nouveau propriétaire néglige l’entretien de ces édifices historiques, nous appelons ça de la destruction par négligences.
Il est encore possible d’arrêter la démolition, écrivez à Christine St-Pierre, actuelle ministre de la Culture.

Potluck of photographs of the first three days of the Occupy Montreal movement … on Saturday people arrived, got organized and spread to message to anyone who would listen. Early Sunday morning was cold and I got the sense that people where mostly trying to keep warm, busy and waiting to see where this would go. Monday morning was the first day of work and some of the protesters where up early to greet the people.

So far, I’m not convinced this movement can change much more than the hearts and minds of people that show up and listen, BUT if they get involved later on, not just in the movement but in their communities and society at large, things will start changing.

About two weeks ago I ended up in a shabby (more like total piece of s…) Motel to assist a colleague in shooting a series of photos. The place had a rate of 27$ for a three hour « nap », in retrospect, the price was a little steep considering I probably caught Cancer for the hour I spent there.
Wall Paper literally tacked onto the walls, seven different shades of fungus, dirty everything, bullet holes and a dank smell of … actually I don’t know what it smelled like, they haven’t invented a word for it yet. My pictures are just a quick documentation of the details (because I know some of you wouldn’t believe me if I didn’t have em), my colleagues shots ended looking like this, pretty swell if you ask me.

Il y a quelques semaines, j’ai participé à la Marche pour le Cancer du Sein organisé chaque année à Montréal. L’évènement avait lieu à l’intérieur du parc Maisonneuve. Ma présence était en tant que participant et non comme photographe, j’ai tout de même profité de l’occasion pour produire quelques clichés. N’ayant aucune contrainte, j’ai explorer quelques cadrages différents et continuer mon exploration personnelle des compositions très larges que j’affectionne particulièrement ces temps si.

J’ai modifié l’enchaînement des photos pour être en concert avec l’exposition. Vous retrouverez les images présentées dans l’ordre de déroulement d’une corrida, sois en trois périodes (tercio); tercio de varas (grande cape magenta, étude de la bête), tercios de banderillos (les piqueurs) et tercio de la muerte (cape rouge et épée).
